I used flat head 12x3/4" screws and counter sunk them. I got the screws from Lowes and they use #3 Phillips/#2 square head. They also have the same size pan head screws with the same drive. That worked well anchoring them to the threshold. I drilled 4 1/4" holes on the porch side. I drilled the first thru the edge where it's doubled over. Then I moved the rest up to where it was single thickness. The problem came with the use of the hammer anchors. Drilling was ok, but when pounding them, the nail bottomed out before going all the way in. So, I had to bend them over & try to smooth them out. This was never a problem with plywood, but that shortens the drive of the nail by 3/4". TAPCONs could solve that but I don't know if they have a smooth head. Bob, can you get those anchors about 1/2" shorter? To use on house doors, you have to have a metal saw to chop them off to length. My sabre saw had no problem. Looks good and went on very quickly. Doesn't take nearly the amount of room that a plywood threshold ramp uses. Good work, Ray. Mac 100_8073 100_8074 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
